When I use tikz fading options, something simple like this code:

\tikz \filldraw[blue, rounded corners = 0.6mm, path fading = east] (0,0) rectangle (\textwidth, 1.3mm);

in the Okular pdf viewer it looks fine (sorry for the bad screenshot, but the important part - the fading is there). enter image description here

However when I open it in Adobe for example, the result of the fading is different:

I am wondering if it is possible to solve this issue somehow?

    The Adobe Reader version is correct (you use \fiildraw). If you want the Okular version, use \fill instead of \filldraw... – Paul Gaborit Aug 8 '18 at 12:21
  • Oh ok, I was not aware of that effect. Could you elaborate why is it shown as faded in Okular also by using filldraw? – beginner_of_beginner Aug 8 '18 at 12:24
  • Okular seems to fade the background and the path (to see it well, you may try with the draw=red,fill=blue options). – Paul Gaborit Aug 8 '18 at 12:43
  • @PaulGaborit Do you want to write-up an answer? – TeXnician Aug 13 '18 at 17:12
