As you can see above, the server is currently unavailable. Is a workaround possible so that I can compile my thesis text?

Thanks

Why is MiKTeX trying to install an online bib-file? Does your thesis use a test.bib? – Ulrike Fischer Sep 8 at 15:48
  • Yes indeed, I just running a test with my references. – DriesDK Sep 8 at 15:51
  • BibTeX should normally not want to download a .bib file, so the temporary server downtime miktex.org/alert/update-problem-6824 should not be a problem. Did you maybe give the wrong file name for your .bib file? Does your document mention bibtex\bib\index\test.bib anywhere? – moewe Sep 8 at 15:52
  • I changed the name from 'test' to 'allpapers' and it fixed the issue. I am able to compile the thesis. Thanks a lot for the fast reply. – DriesDK Sep 8 at 15:54
