I am just installing a fresh vanilla texlive 2018 on a ubuntu box. The installer is running but the download speed seems to be very slow (which is not due to my internet connection). Is there to change the download mirror during installation without interrupting it or to interrupt the installation, change the mirror and resume at the point of interruption without having to reconfigure the package selection and without the need to download the already downloaded packages again?

  • No. When you have interrupted your installation you have to start over again and you can't change it without canceling the current run. So basically you have to decide which mirror to use before starting the installation. – TeXnician Nov 7 '18 at 21:03
