I use TexStudio to make my document, but the autocompletion of the citation is terrible slow. Even to the point that when I know what I want, I cannot insert it, because the program freezes.

Anything I can do about it?

I use biber as backend. bib file comes from Mendeley. A bit more than 30 citations.

I use TexStudio 2.6.6, Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.3.

  • I have removed the specific biblatex and Biber tags and added the generic 'bibliographies' because the specific bibliography approach/package you use has no chance to influence the autocompletion of TeXStudio. If you can consistently reproduce this issue with a different .bib file (to make sure that it is not something specifically to this one .bib file that freezes the programme), I suggest you contact the TeXstudio developers directly. This is more of a bug report than a question that can be answered here (of course it could be that someone had the same issue and knows a workaround) – moewe Nov 9 at 12:03
  • ... And if you find out that there is something specifically in your .bib file that makes TeXstudio freeze that is probably also something you should report to the maintainers (assuming the file is well-formed and the issue is not caused by a syntax error in your file). – moewe Nov 9 at 12:08
