I have a document. Without the booklet package, all is well. When I load the booklet package, I get a glitch with the color of certain text.

I produce some 70+ pages of 2 column text; contact list data, in fact. The entries use colors. At the end, I produce an index, which covers several pages. The index entries should all be black, and they are when the booklet package is not loaded.

But when I load the booklet package, the index pages sometimes pick up one of the colors of the facing page of the booklet, but not always. For example, some pages are blue; others are orange; they should be black. I think I see a pattern, but I am not sure.

I can probably get around the problem by individually setting the color to black for each index entry. The LaTeX source is generated from a perl script so it would not be hard to do. But it should not be necessary.

It seems to me that this is an error in the booklet package when it coalesces two pages into one, where a color declaration bleeds into other text.

Is this a known problem? I've looked but can't find anything.

Welcome to TeX.SX! It is difficult to help without some example code to play with. By successively deleting material can you give us a minimal working example that demonstrates the problem? This should be code that compiles and is as small as possible to exhibit your problem. Cutting your code down to a MWE may well show you what the problem is. If the problem still is not clear a MWE will allow people to look at your problem and troubleshoot it. At the moment it is really difficult for anyone to help as we don't have anything to work from. – Andrew Dec 7 at 3:30
