I am trying to create a custom snippet to include a string variable based on 'selection'. I cannot seem to figure out how to copy the current selection to a variable and use it within the snippet, for example:

÷% A custom snippet to insert a floating figure with custom naming
ctrl key = f
group = Floating
insert at cursor =
\begin{figure}[H]
    \centering
    \includegraphics[width=12cm]{Figures/img/<SELECTION>.png}
    \caption{FIGURENAME}
    \label{fig:<SELECTION>}
\end{figure}

Is it possible to first set the string?

i.e

var figName = <SELECTION>.string

and input figName within the snippet?

Thank you in advance.

  • Thanks for the reply! I don't know what language it us, nor where to look for info. Im hoping someone has any insight on this, or where I can modify the code for Texpad itself (if necessary). – James Licciardi Feb 27 at 10:51
