I am very new to Lyx and cannot figure out how to shift my equation to the right of the equals sign. I have an equation that long and so goes over two lines (using inline formula) and I would like to move the second line to the right of the equals sign, at the moment it comes below. How do I do this?

I would also like to have a space between two equations (a linebreak in MS Word), how do I do this?

Welcome! Without a compilable code called the MWE, I can't imagine what you already have and what you want, so please add it :) – JouleV Mar 8 at 14:00
  • Hi! I am using Lyx not Latex so do not have a code? What would you suggest? – Darcy Hill Mar 9 at 13:40
  • I don't use LyX, but as far as I know there is an option to export LyX to .tex code. – JouleV Mar 9 at 13:59
