    it is impossible to debug an iamage, please always post small test documents as text. However figure* does not support h or b so your figure is set with [!tp] and spanning two-column figures always come, at the earliest, on the page after their position in the source file. – David Carlisle Mar 25 at 19:49
  • @DavidCarlisle Exactly it's putting the image at the top of the second page. Whereas I want it to come in the first page. – Raghavendra S S Mar 25 at 19:59
  • you can not use figure* in that case – David Carlisle Mar 25 at 20:07
  • unrelated but why have you got \textnormal{... around your text? – David Carlisle Mar 25 at 20:08

    No, the \textnormal is wrong But please do not post code as images, it is impossible to debug anything if you post in that form. – David Carlisle Mar 25 at 20:13

try the following:

\usepackage{stfloats} % for positioning of figure* on the same page

%---------------- show page layout. don't use in a real document!

\caption{First subfigure}
\caption{Second subfigure}
\caption{Third subfigure}
\caption{Fourth subfigure}
\caption{Fifth subfigure}
\caption{Input Images}

(it is follow-up answer to your previous question. actually it cover also this question)
