I have some problem with bib2gls. I followed the guideline here, https://www.dickimaw-books.com/latex/buildglossaries/#texniccenter, and here, How to effectively use List of Symbols for a thesis?. (first big answer, option 4) Basically I want to make a list of symbols which has two lists, Latin and Greek symbols which are sorted by the corresponding alphabet :) For that I want to use bib2gls :)

But I have the problem, that the programme cannot find any corresponding .glstex file (my tex and bib files are exactly the same as in the second link for testing), so I get a lot of warnings saying files and symbols are not defined.

Error message:

Warning: No file "....glstex" on input line ...

I am a bit desperate, because I am not tech savvy and I have spent a lot of working hours to solve this already. I guess, my problem has to do with the bib2gls package: I have installed it, but I can not select any .exe file in the postprocessing part of my build procedure because the files of bib2gls are Java files. I have Java, but the first link above explicitly says that I need an .exe file for the build process :)

Do you know why the bib2gls process is not triggering? How to edit my build process properly for that?

EDIT:

\documentclass{report}

\usepackage[colorlinks]{hyperref}
\usepackage[symbols,
  stylemods={tree},% loads glossaries-extra-stylemods to patch styles
  record % using 'bib2gls'
]{glossaries-extra}

% assign titles to group labels:
\glsxtrsetgrouptitle{latin}{Latin}
\glsxtrsetgrouptitle{greek}{Greek}

\GlsXtrLoadResources[
 src={latin-symbols},
 type=symbols,
 group={latin},% assign group label
 set-widest,% needed for 'alttree' styles
 save-locations=false
]

\GlsXtrLoadResources[
 src={greek-symbols},
 type=symbols,
 group={greek},% assign group label
 set-widest,% needed for 'alttree' styles
 save-locations=false
]

\begin{document}
\tableofcontents
\printunsrtglossary[type=symbols,style=alttreegroup,title={List of Symbols}]

\chapter{Sample}
Reference Latin symbols: $\gls{M}$

Reference Greek symbols: $\gls{rho}$
\end{document}

The bib files do look like:

@entry{M,
 name={\ensuremath{M}},
 description={Smooth manifold}
}

and

@entry{rho,
 name={\ensuremath{\rho}},
 description={Anchor}
}

and the first line of my log is

This is pdfTeX, Version 3.14159265-2.6-1.40.20 (MiKTeX 2.9.7000 64-bit) (preloaded format=pdflatex 2019.3.28) 28 MAR 2019 05:40

EDIT2:

Here is some image about the part of changing the postprocessing. As you can see the java files are not the required exe files. Is there maybe a complete instruction about installing bib2gls? Maybe I am doing something wrong with Java? Thanks :) (and sorry that the names in the image are in German)
