The \caption command in the end posts a caption that says "Table 2: (my text)", even though it is only my FIRST table. I want it to say "Table 1". How?

Btw +1 for using booktabs and @{} for customizing tables. – user156344 Apr 8 at 9:52
  • I see, then how do I add like a footnote to my tables? Not really a footnote more like just some text RIGHT under the table where I for instance explain what *, ** and *** mean. – Emil Krabbe Apr 8 at 10:01
