I'd like to label my definitions (using the glossaries package) so that they look appear as shown below, and are also displayed in the ToC:

1.1 Definitions

1.1.1 Aname: A description

1.1.2 Bname: B description

I've tried defining my own style based on the one answer to this question: How to define a custom glossary style

Edit:

I seem to have made some progress by using this style:

\newglossarystyle{mystyle}{%
    \renewcommand*{\glossentry}[2]{%
        \glsentryitem{##1}
        \subsubsection{\glsentryname{##1}}
        \textbf{\glstarget{##1}{}}%
        \glossentrydesc{##1}\par
    }%
}
\setglossarystyle{mystyle}

I would now like to change the subsubsection style (perhaps by making a special subsubsection?) that will have text in line with the definition, add a colon after the definition name, and keep the text the plum.

For example, I'd like "onto another..." to be in line with "Aname":

1.1 Definitions

1.1.1 Aname: A description that runs off...

........onto another line
