# How to customize the page number to match a completely monospace document

As per My font is monospace, will Latex treat it as monospace, or what do I do?, I'm wondering how I can get the pagination to be on the right bottom corner so that it always is aligned with the geometry of the rest of the text (as per the selected answer in the link).

\documentclass[a4paper,12pt]{article}
\usepackage{fontspec}
\usepackage{geometry}

\usepackage{kantlipsum}

\setmainfont{Latin Modern Mono}

\newlength{\characterwidth}
\settowidth{\characterwidth}{\normalfont x}
\geometry{textwidth=72\characterwidth,lines=48}
\AtBeginDocument{\raggedright\setlength{\parindent}{3\characterwidth}}

\begin{document}

\kant[1-4]

\end{document}

So let's say the text is 48-lines, then there is 1 line gap, then pagination is 1 line, like 50. So if there are 72 characters per line, then page "10" would take up characters 71 and 72 on line 50.
