Suddendly my Latex file stopped compiling (with over 50 errors - all not helpful like missing \begin{document}
), uploading the last version that compiled also fails. What is even more confusing is that I created a new project, copy-pasted the same file, and that compiles without any issues.
What could have gone wrong? Did the compiler somehow get a different configuration?

I've deleted a group-closing symbol because it seems to be
spurious, as in `$x}$'. But perhaps the } is legitimate and
you forgot something else, as in `\hbox{$x}'. In such cases
the way to recover is to insert both the forgotten and the
deleted material, e.g., by typing `I$}'.
