I am using Texworks but I am not able to see where the error is. I have checked bin path and log file in Miktex which are in different path. Is the problem in configuration or on these path? How can I see the error?

  • Welcome! We can't guess what error. – egreg Jun 28 at 21:43
  • Doesn't show error`s line number. The compiler says there is an error but it is not referring the error's line. I am writing a random thing such as /zzz. It says there is an error but the compiler doesn't show error location. When I use the texworks with visual studio, I am not able to see the error location. Therefore I m loosing time the detect error location or just copy paste to overleaf to find out the error where it is. – Nobody Jun 28 at 21:50
  • I see in texworks at the bottom a console window with the log file in one tab (which contains the line number) and a summary in another tab which shows the line number of an error too. – Ulrike Fischer Jun 29 at 7:17

It shows error line but it is not referring to the correct line. I think it is related with log file path or different. I used texstudio and overleaf before, it was showing to error line directly but Texworks is not showing error line when I used with visua studio. Visual studio might block the texworks but I am not sure.
