I want to make the institute appear under the authors name

I understand that you are submitting your article to Springer. Without editing the official class for Springer journals you could use

\author{F. Author \\
    {\normalfont    first address \\
        Tel.: +123-45-678910\\
        Fax: +123-45-678910\\
        \email{[email protected]} }
}
\institute{}

or refer the contradiction to them.

  • Look at the template for the \institute command and repeat in \author using \normalfont for addreses. Commented Nov 19, 2020 at 14:24
