# Latex to pdf pandoc conversion where a table is fetched from file

I am trying to run a simple pandoc tex-to-pdf conversion. The command is:

pandoc -s -o tmp.pdf tmp.tex

For some reason it generates an empty pdf with just a page number but no table in there. It successfully builds the pdf with table if I run the same file through TeXnicCenter. But have no luck with command line (Windows10 + GitBash). Both files are at the same directory. Could you please tell me what I've missed? Seems like I cannot use any latex functionality where a third file fetched by code.

tmp.tex:

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{csvsimple}
\usepackage{booktabs}
\begin{document}
\begin{tabular}{c}%
\csvautotabular{table01.csv}
\end{tabular}
\end{document}

table01.csv

name,givenname,matriculation,gender,grade
Maier,Hans,12345,m,1.0
Huber,Anna,23456,f,2.3
Weisbaeck,Werner,34567,m,5.0

• You shouldn't use pandoc to process .tex-files. Simply run latex (i.e. pdflatex, xelatex or lualatex) instead. – DG' Mar 23 at 8:19
