# How can I put the path of the file for the pdflatex compiler? [closed]

I need to automate the .tex compilation files, but I don't want to write down the path in pdflatex in console. Also I will not use the graphical user interface for this purpose. I need commands that can make pdflatex compiler work with the path which files I need to compile automatically. restricted \write18 enabled

• Your question is unclear to me. How do you want to start compilation if not using a GUI or the console? Aug 1 at 13:08
• I mean I'll use the command line and execute the pdflatex.exe programm. I need to write the path there in command line Aug 1 at 13:41
• Well, the syntax is `pdflatex <path>`. It is still unclear to me where your problem lies. Please edit your question with a detailed description of what you tried and how it fails. Aug 2 at 10:26
