I want to fix this indentation issue, like in the picture below (right image is from my MWE).

  • You want it to look like the image on the left? Enumerate goes to great effort to right align numbers etc. All you need is a fixed gap between the number and the letter; e.g. \noindent\textbf{1.}\hspace{\parindent}(a) . Apr 8 at 18:14
