I am an applied mathematician and mathematical statistician. As a consulting statistician, I help researchers to design studies and to analyze data. In consulting with systems biologists, I find that many questions can be quickly answered with numerical optimization and linear-algebra. Professionally, I program in R, which is also an environment for statistical computing. I am interested in mathematical typesetting, statistical graphics, and scientific communication.

I rarely contribute to the Stack-Exchange questions or to the Community Wikis (CW), although I often consult them. I am new here.
